About Us

Braidwood Quilters & Textiles are a small group of ladies who meet regularly to promote the art of Patchwork and Quilting.

The ladies have a vast amount of expertise in pieced, applique, paper pieced techniques in both traditional and modern quilting.  We enjoy sharing this knowledge and encouraging and assisting others in their quilting journey.

Our motto is Friendship, Fun and Sharing ideas to promote Quilting.

Some weeks members come to work on their own creations, or as a group on a particular project.  There is always a member available to help others learn new techniques.

We meet at the Quilters Quarters, 13 Coghill Street, Braidwood. Meeting times are:

  • Every Tuesday for Sit & Sew 10am - 2pm
  • On the 3rd Saturday of every month for Saturday Sew-along 10am - 2pm

Our premises is well equipped with sewing machines, a cutting table, library & some fabric.  The building has Reverse/cycle air conditioning, kitchenette, fridge, microwave and tea/coffee is provided. Bathroom facilities are available.

Since 1995 the group has been involved in the Braidwood ‘Airing of the Quilts’ event, held on the fourth weekend in November each year.

When you join the Braidwood Quilters & Textiles you will also become a member of the South Coast Country Quilters, which draws it’s members from Nowra to Narooma and west to Braidwood.  We attend their bi-monthly meetings held in Moruya, when possible...

We are always looking for new members! Visitors are more than welcome to come to our meetings and see what we are creating.
